I went to Briezh with high hopes and an appetite - and left with neither. Good for coffee, hot chocolate and some very decent madeleines. The chefs are excellent and the food imaginative ... the dish I really wanted was disappointing when served (goats cheese omelette) but my friend's breakfast (a galette with pumpkin and assorted paleo friendly foods) was definitely the redeeming feature. One thing that really did put me off though, was the rudeness of the staff....to each other! Weird that being rude to me is fine (even accepted as pseudo cool) but wait staff being snappy with each other is just not on!
A nice little French cafe...I'm always in the hunt for crêpes!!!! A little gem hidden amongst the suburban shops.

Their galettes are super nice...usually not the biggest fan of buckwheat... but they did it super crispy and nice with really fresh toppings...
And of course I had to have a savoury crepe....my fav choice...salted caramel with caramelised apples....the crepe is thin soft and chewy just the way a French crepe should be..
will definitely visit again!

Genuine Breton galettes, quite tasty and interesting, although the habit of piling fillings on top of the pancake seemed a little inefficient. You can rely on good quality ingredients, though. Lots of good cakes, too. The prices seem quite high for a simple galette, although maybe not so excessive for Canberra, and the interior gets crowded and hot, and the coffee was a bit murky. Still a cut above most Canberra cafes and good for a change of cuisine.
possibly the best brunch place in canberra. brilliant service, great eating and beautiful atmosphere. I very much propose to make a booking because it is usually quite busy. my man and I like to sit outside, with cover and watch the rain during our brunch on Sunday. fantastic coffee and I have now completely crashed through the French breakfast.

Tasty food, reliable coffee and sophisticated crepes. The service is abrupt and the food is far too slow. A takeaway coffee with a croissant will be the best bet for this small cafe. Well intentioned owners and on the right track. Potential to be a local favourite with some fine tuning and better opening hours.
Surely $21 buys more than this! Seriously having to buy hot X buns to fill up after breakfast isn't good enough, I suppose cash isn't an issue around here. $3 for mushroom and I got 5 small segments, raised my concern with the young waitress and was told 'that's how it comes' No Stars
Good attempt to create European experience tho I am still to work which country - with Italian style expresso, French crêpes menu, Holland décors',... Quite confusing really. It opens quite late for a morning breakfast and pricey of $10 for a ham & cheese croissant.
Coffee was excellent. Cake wasn't made on the day, the fridge was too cold made it wet and soggy. Tart was okay, however should be warm not cold. Great area for an afternoon chat.

Gorgeous little suburban cafe tucked in the corner. Had an amazing almond crossiant and a nice coffee. The service is exceptional and very welcoming :)
Top food, top serviceI can honestly say I have never had a bad experience hereThe only complaint is that it can (and does) get both noisy and busy.
