My husband and I moved to Westmont recently and wanted to try out the local coffee shop. Brewed Awakening is a cute name and a welcoming shop with friendly service. However the product is subpar. I ordered an iced latte which was served to me in a styrofoam cup and tasted of watered down milk. My husband ordered an americano and also had a negative review of the coffee. Honestly the styrofoam cup was enough to keep me away from this place.
This might be the worst coffee shop I’ve ever visited. The coffee is comparable to gas station quality, and the service is unfriendly and lacking. The atmosphere feels quiet yet unwelcoming, especially if you’re not a regular customer. Overall, it was an uncomfortable and unenjoyable experience.
I agree with most of the comments. Lovely place, Disgusting swill. First one ordered was undrinkable. I asked for something else and the woman there was rather upset that I disliked it, or that I had the audacity to ask for something else. Second one was worse. Not to mention, styrofoam? Really?
This charming coffee shop in downtown Westmont is a delightful spot to visit. Parking is convenient and plentiful, so you won't have to search for a spot. Upon entering, I was not greeted by anyone. One of the employees was on the phone, seemingly either asleep or pretending to be. I enjoy visiting coffee shops, but this one felt unwelcoming and didn't look appealing at all.
Such a lovely little coffee shop with amazing coffee, cookies, and muffins! The owner is a true gem of a person who truly does her best to make her cafe an enjoyable spot! One of my favorites ever!
The cappuccino was bigger than a large latte. How is that even possible? All a cappuccino is, is milk, foam, and espresso. Was there a half gallon of milk with the espresso?
