We had a social event booked here for 40 friends who had served in the same army corps a few weeks ago. We had a buffet booked and we were also given a private room. All seemed good at the start but gradually it became apparent that firstly this was a second rate establishment with very low standards of service and secondly we weren’t really welcome. The buffet was poor but was paid for by our association so I do not know the cost per head, but it was at very best disappointing. Secondly throughout the afternoon and evening whilst we spent a large amount of money on beverages the service became worse as time passed. Can 't fault the staff at all. They are very attentive and always polite friendly. The reason for the 3 stars is the poor quality of the food. I ordered the fish and chips but what I received was a miserly handful of chips with a large piece of soggy batter which contained some sort of fish scraps. I couldn 't tell you what the fish was, but it made up no more than 10% of the whole thing. It was tasteless and very disappointing. Another member of our party had the Tikka Masala but this was watery, with hardly any chicken and very little taste.
I recently visited a restaurant in Aldershot and despite not being a fan of the area, I must say that the exceptional service provided by Jamie and his team made my visit worthwhile. They were always willing to assist and went above and beyond to ensure customers were satisfied and happy with their experience. I strongly recommend that Whitbread takes care of this Manager before they potentially lose out on a valuable asset to another establishment.
The service at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. It took 45 minutes from the time we placed our order for our main dishes to arrive at our table, and another 45 minutes for dessert to be served. We ended up spending nearly 3 hours at the restaurant, which was not ideal especially with young children. I travel to Aldershot for work weekly, and Kiera, Adele, Tyler Hannah have made this Mancunian feel very welcome every single time i've been in. The staff are fantastic and couldn't do more for their customers, it's the highlight of my week away knowing I get so well looked after. There's always a pint of stout being started when I walk through the door so keep up the great work Team, you're awesome.
We ate here on 2 occasions once for an evening meal breakfast. Evening meal was ok standard for a large chain eatery, breakfast was nice, all warm and good selection however there was only 1 member of staff waiting on tables, (may have been just during the time we ate) she was run raggered, clearing tables, seating guests, answering queries. This place needs more staff.
I used my birthday voucher while out with a friend today and ordered the chicken fajita burger with upgraded skin-on chips from the busy but friendly server. My friend opted for the fish pie. Despite there only being one server visible during our visit, the wait for our food was not too long and it arrived piping hot and delicious.
