On a snowy, cold Friday night, we decided to order takeout/delivery from a restaurant that did not disappoint. Our meals were cooked to perfection and arrived hot, fresh, and tasty. One of our favorites from the expanded menu is the barbeque meat platter, which we highly recommend. The chicken wings are consistently cooked perfectly and there are so many delicious options to choose from. The fish and chips are excellent and the pizzas are fantastic. Brewsters has been a fixture in the Lake Bonavista Shopping Centre for many years. Last fall they did a major renovation which gave it a much brighter more open look, which did away with separating the bar from the dining area. The menu does undergo some changes occasionally but it retains many of the popular dishes such as burgers, flat breads, steaks, fish and chips, chicken etc. Generally the food is very good with large servings. Service is also very good and is normally attentive. The selection of their own craft beers is very good. It does tend to be a little expensive. It is a pleasant place to drop into for a few drinks with a lot of local residents.
First time back since renovation, feels very open and a much fresher look to the place.As to the food, very good, had the fish & chips and beef dip, both quite good, love the selection of beers and their take to go menu for beer, nice touch. The service is also very attentive and friendly, very much a local eatery worth visiting. My only criticism would be while we were there we sat near one the long picnic like tables where a family was eating and their kids were running around the restaurant, more or less out of control and was kind of distracting and very noisy, would probably sit on other side next time.

Met a buddy down here for dinner. The gyoza appetizers were just OK, very bland tasting. My short rib was overcooked and dry and the sauce was unappealing. Beer was the only good thing we had. For the $80+ bill I can definitely say that there are much better places to eat in the city. I don't think I'll be back.
This restaurant is not the best option for lunch or dinner, but it's not the worst either. The service is satisfactory, the prices are average, and the food is also average and lacks inspiration. The environment is very noisy and has an unpleasant atmosphere. It wouldn't be my first or even third choice.
