we stopped here to be honest, it was the only restaurant that was not closed by 1:50 clock. the menu was expensive and I think we had eaten in mont st michel ourselves for the same prices. the ambiente des ortes was more. a diner, with plastic chairs and tables. it is also huge inside. the meal itself was not great, not up to the usual French restaurants kitchen and certainly not worth the prices they charge. I wouldn't be in a hurry to come back. nourriture pas bonne, très chère.
After seeing the silly prices on the Mt itself, got off of the courtesy coach a couple of stops early to walk the rest of the way back to the car and stumbled here.Lovely fresh baguettes, patisseries and decent coffee all for a reasonable price.Thoroughly recommended and no wonder it is so high on the list of places to eat there.
The Brioche Doree cafe is a good place to grab a bite to eat before or after your trip to the abbey. It is conveniently located on the main street at the end of town where you catch the tram out to the island.
Not visited this branch of Brioche Doree before, but found it to be excellent. Only stopped for drinks so cannot comment on the food, but the drinks I had were excellent. Would happily visit again. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
I don't know how they manage to be the only place that doesn't have a set menu in this town, but by golly they did it. Food is really good and the employees are really nice people. 9/10 good stop.
We had our breakfast here, great raspberry tart and ham and cheese sandwich and good coffee, it shares a building with a supermarket where you can buy some souvenirs and food. Like it!
We were staying in the area and this place was the only one serving breakfast. Prices were ok as was the food, if anything the waitress could have been a bit more friendly.

i always have breakfast with flan coco at the brioche doreè when in france. the one next to the mount saint michel was open from nine in the morning.
