I highly recommend the Matty Guns special pasta—it’s one of my absolute favorites that I order every single time! It's rich rigatoni tossed in vodka sauce with spicy sweet sausage, meatballs, whipped ricotta, and fresh mozzarella. This dish is simply divine, and I love it so much!
The linguini with white clam sauce is also fantastic! It's made with little neck clams, toasted garlic, and herbs. The pasta is cooked perfectly al dente, and there are always plenty of clams in the dish. The sauce is incredible! I adore this dish too and highly recommend it!

I'll start by saying that the food deserves a 10 out of 5, but unfortunately, the service and the way my partner and I were treated left much to be desired. I had made a reservation, yet a couple who arrived without one ended up being seated at the other half of our table, which they split, leaving us uncomfortably close. This couple was in their mid-30s and dressed normally, while my partner and I are in a mixed-race relationship in our late 20s, sporting piercings and tattoos. Whatever the reason for the difference in treatment, it was disappointing to see the couple who came in after us being checked on three or more times while we were overlooked.
I visited this restaurant for my daughter's birthday, along with her boyfriend, and it was absolutely fantastic! The food was exceptional, and the service was extraordinary. Our waiter, Brian, was incredibly knowledgeable and guided us perfectly on how much to order and recommended the best dishes. He was spot on with his suggestions. I'm still debating whether the food or the service was the highlight of our dinner! From the moment we entered until we left, we felt truly special, and the meal was unforgettable.
I?ve heard very good things about Brooklyn Roots, especially from my neighbor who religiously frequents the place on a weekly basis. We decided to try them because we had extended family visiting, so we made reservations, and so glad we did. We arrived 15 mins early and had to wait by the entrance? some reviews are accurate when they say tables are reserved; the place had one opening for 4 when we arrived. The waiting area was a bit inconvenient with the enter/exit traffic

BEST ITALIAN RESTAURANT. Must make reservations in advance otherwise try walk-ins on Sundays when they open at 2pm. The hype is real. Their pan fried meatballs with mozzarella and ricotta is so delicious with the tomato sauce. We literally finished everything with the help of their soft bread with sesame seed on top. Brooklyn Roots was a 100 Stars., From beginning to the end my husband and I were impressed! The food was very authentic., each dish was bursting with flavor and just the right textures! The cocktails were perfect, well balanced and on point! Amalia Sour was unbelievable from presentation down to the last sip, simply an unfogettable experience! We can?t wait to come back for more! I’m from out of state and was in New York for my son's 29th birthday, which we celebrate in spirit. I found this Italian restaurant online and it turned out to be fantastic! My son, who was wearing a red shirt, his girlfriend, and my son's dad all enjoyed every delicious bite. The outdoor seating was very relaxing, and the staff was wonderful. I highly recommend this place!
If you haven't been to Brooklyn Roots Italian yet then do yourself a favor and go ASAP! We had the BEST family style meal there today. The food was so good I forgot to take pictures of everything else. Such a great spot and we will definitely come back!
