I ordered the salmon and requested scrambled eggs instead of poached. To my disappointment, the eggs were very small in portion, dry, and unappealing. The sourdough toast served with it was also dry, flavorless, and burnt. By the time my coffee arrived, it was lukewarm. I ended up paying £10 for breakfast, which came to £13 including the coffee. Overall, it was a total disappointment. Brookmans is a lovely pub, but the breakfasts I've tried have not met expectations and are overpriced. I’m willing to pay for quality, but this experience certainly didn’t deliver. Sorry to say, but I won't be returning.
A bit disappointed. Booked here for Mother’s Day. Didn’t realise they were only offering their Sunday menu which was very limited. Most restaurants offer a main menu alongside their Sunday menu so you have a choice or if only offering one menu most places would at least have a variety of food. Their Sunday menu didn’t even have the standard options you’d expect from a pub. If this was the case, I wouldn’t have bothered booking. Couldn’t book anywhere else as it was too last minute. A real let down.
Brookmans is a fantastic restaurant for dining, featuring beautiful decor and outdoor seating both in the front and back. We chose to have our lunch there, and the menu offered a wide range of options. My guest was pleased with both the food and drink selections. This family-oriented restaurant maintains a welcoming atmosphere, even for adults. The staff is professional, friendly, and attentive, which was especially important for us with a small baby in tow.
We popped by on a Saturday afternoon for drinks but couldn't help but be tempted by the menu. The cheese soufflé came drizzled with cheese sauce and it was the best soufflé I've ever had! The restaurant is spacious with lovely decor and excellent service. The food was enjoyable, although I wasn't quite sure what was on top of the marmite butter on our appetizer. The Wagyu burger and fries were fantastic. I would definitely recommend it and would love to visit again.
We stopped by for a quick drink in the late afternoon when it was quite empty. We’ve only recently discovered this pub, but we really enjoy the atmosphere, and the staff is very friendly. We’re planning to have Sunday lunch with the family there soon. The decor is also very nice!
Wait staff could be a little bit more a vigilant. The only way I could get their attention was to flag them down as they don't do the eye contact thing here for some reason. Excellent food and excellent ambiance though, would certainly recommend it
3.75 stars. 3 minute walk from the station. Had a Sunday roast. Food was nice but at £20 thought it was a bit stingy on the meat. The establishment itself is very well presented. Beef roast was nice as was the pork. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Has lots of different areas to fit all purposes. The inside is very impressive with the high ceilings. Food options are great, some vegetarian. Dog friendly. Seats and tables are very comfortable.
