Spent a couple of hours here on a Saturday afternoon while waiting for family. Pub was reasonably quiet when we arrived around 2pm. Although threatening rain, it was sunny, so we sat in the beer garden underneath the pergola at the back. This allowed us to enjoy the sun and shelter from the rain during a couple of brief, but heavy showers. Only had drinks, but would happily visit again. Parking: Small car park to the rear, with room for approx 8 cars maximum. A bit tight when full.
The host was extremely welcoming and even took the time to give us a tour, as my family used to own the pub many years ago (Halfpenny). There is ample parking available behind the pub. The cost per person ranges from £20-30, but the food, service, and atmosphere all deserve a top rating of 5. Plus, the parking lot is free and there are plenty of spaces to choose from.
Met friends here for dinner few drinks. A variety of food was ordered we asked for a camembert to come out before the mains. Unfortunately some of the group had eaten mains before the starter came out. Food was delicious but the rugby platter was definately not worth the money. Would go back again but avoid the platter as very expensive for what you get

Stumbled across this place the evening , and what a pleasure ! It was sooo nice to walk into a busy pub with a lovely atmosphere! Ordered the smoky burger and it was amazing ! We will definately be back Staff are very attentive and welcoming x
Convenient parking available at the back of the pub. The service was a bit slow, but the food was tasty. Prices range from £10 to £20 per person. I would rate the food a 5, service a 4, and atmosphere a 4.
