We were visiting family in Castalla they had booked an afternoon of cabaret Sunday lunch at Browns as a surprise, we had never been before but had heard all the good reviews, so we were really looking forward to going for the first time! I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE.. been spoken to in such a disgusting manner in a place where I have come to pay money to eat. I was verbally abused by both of the men running and cooking the place together. The guy who did the food was named Stuart. He verbally abused me both times while I was there hoping to purchase a Sunday roast in peace and quiet with my son and mother. I was swore at, and physically intimidated by Tony the bar man and hosts, (owner) Stuart (the cook). Reducing me to tears I for t of my 11 year old son. Myself and my partner came for Sunday lunch and it was simply the best I have ever eaten , the selection of starters was massive and all presented immaculately, then the carvery type main , again just amazing !! We were too full for desert but they looked delicious. Tony the host is so friendly and stuart the chef makes them both the best team because working together clearly makes everything run so professionally and the food is truly to die for !! Having lived in benidorm now for 8 years , when we get the chance to visit this diamond of a place on a Sunday it just gets better and better ! The food is second to none and value for money is unbelievable. The owners Tony and Stu just can’t do enough for you and even on a Sunday best Sunday lunch out there believe me when they are rushed off their feet the staff still smile and the service is excellent ! I would HIGHLY recommend anyone to go , especially for the Sunday lunch. Well done boys , we will be back !
Well I have heard lots from different people about this place and it's food, so finally got to go with friends and I must say definately 10/10, I'm a fussy eater, but the management did there very best to accommodate me and I couldn't complain,i certainly will go back again, and definatley recommend people go and try this lovely place
The best restaurant in our area by far, was there last night with 14 friends for a cheese pate and wine evening and Tony,Stuart and team did us proud the effort and time they take to create such a wonderful evening is commendable. We left 14 very happy people.
Absolutely fantastic time. Lunch was delicious and pricing is great. The atmosphere was lovely and entertainment from a singer had people joining in. 100% recommended, a must if you’re in the area
