Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! I am not a hot dog fan...and was thinking what am I going to eat? Alaskan Cod Sandwich...it was great! Loved the tartar sauce!!! But being the foodie that is am..I tried the New Yorker (got a couple of bites from my husband), the Jambalaya Dog (a bite of my oldest) and a bite of Dirty Dell dog (from my youngest) and I have to say it was so good! Mind you even though it says 6 hot dog the servings are huge! The wait staff were so helpful and friendly. Owner came and had a chat with us, great guy!! Definitely going back!! BTW if your a Chicago Cubs fan...definitely the place to be during the season!
The second time there today and will not be the last. Found today that the claw, scratch, chili and tarter sauce are all made by scratches in the house by the owner!! Not only that, but he also makes the mayonnaise he uses.... From SCRATCH! Both owners are active in the course of the place. He's on the food and her in front! Now is what's going on! Eat on point, obviously! The atmosphere is great and the service is excellent! We will see you next time’round and thank you for the great food and entertainment! It is easy to see why they are successful! Cheers!
This place is incredibly cool! We originally had plans to go to another hot dog spot in New Orleans, but ended up at Bruiser's when we got hungry. It's a laid-back atmosphere, currently adorned with quirky Christmas decorations, and the food is fantastic. The host and bartender were super friendly, and we even got to meet the owner. We loved the Dirty Dale, Schwarber Tots, and Boudin. Plus, the apple stamp was a fun touch!
Ok I realize that I'm supposed to write a review about my experience here, but honestly I have never been here. I have been a resident here in Slidell for a good 10 yrs. and I have always been interested in eating here. After reading some of the reviews on here I'm most definitely going within the next week. The food, service, and atmosphere were fantastic. There was one staff member who was a bit loud and perhaps a little overzealous (possibly due to having a drink), but overall, this visit was excellent. The Italian beef and Texas dog were delicious, and the prices were very reasonable as well.
Best hot dog I've ever had! I am one of those people who do not eat hot dogs anywhere but only at Bruiser's! I crave their hot dogs! It's also a fun place to hangout and enjoy the atmosphere! Hands down best hotdogs in the country! Love this place!
Great gourmet hot dogs, perpetrator deaths with various toppings and now fried bounty balls with bounty by The Best Stop in Scott, Louisiana. Always entertaining. Only the problem is they don't stay open long enough in the evening...

I ordered the tater tachos and they were so yummy!! The chili that goes on them is delicious!! If you can, stop by there and try something on the menu.
