We visited this little pub on the Main Street of Criccieth on a cold and rainy evening to watch a Liverpool football game. The layout is 2 rooms both with tvs and serviced by one bar. They don’t serve food , but the drinks were reasonably priced. For a while we were the only 2 customers in one side , a few what looked like locals in the other side. As kickoff neared our side started to fill up, everybody kept the coats on wonder it was bitterly cold with a side door permanently blowing open or people not shutting it properly. A trip to the gents toilet in the other room , on opening the entrance door my eyes were drawn to a roaring fire and a near full bar of customers in short sleeves or ju...
Had a short break in Criccieth and my hubby adopted it as his local, well it was across the road from our hotel. The owners were really nice and their outside space is very welcoming for both humans and dogs On Saturday night they had Live Entertainment and it was lovely to listen to the singing (from my bed) what gave me a lump in my throat was that at the end of the evening everyone joined in the Welsh National Anthem !
What a fantastic pub! A proper pub with a great atmosphere. The family who run it made us so welcome. They have “ the best Guinness in Wales “ a claim by the landlord. I’ve not been to every pub in wales but we spent all afternoon drinking Guinness there and loved every pint. Poured with care and attention and tasted great too. Thanks for a brilliant afternoon and will definitely visit again soon.
Unfortunately they don't serve food anymore, we have eaten there in the past and was good pub grub, but its a nice pub which is good value for money. Plenty of places to sit and a beer garden and terrace that are dog friendly. They show the football and its a relaxing place for an evening drink. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
This a great little watering hole in Criccieth. We are always made welcome and good range of beers and drinks with a great outdoor space too. We always end up chatting with fellow drinkers and learn so much about local events, nice walks and places to eat. A great pub in hear of community
Spent a couple of hours sitting in the outside area of this pub on a Monday afternoon. The person serving at the bar was very friendly and my lager was just right. They serve coffees too, and dogs are welcome in the outside area (I do not know about inside).
6 of us had a drink here every night of our stay in Criccieth, staff were friendly and on our last visit thanked us for our business and wished us a safe journey home. Would recommend but it is an old fashioned pub and does not serve food.
Spent a Sunday afternoon in the garden. It was a regular suntrap. Also there was a play area with masses of toys for the grandson to play with. This is the best pub in Criccieth by far. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Brilliant home cooked food, with a good selection of gluten free options. Had to wait for a table, but defiently worth it. Unfortunately don't take bookings.
