I decided to give this restaurant a shot, but it turned out to be a mistake. The waitress was unfriendly, and the service was terrible. When I tried to inquire about the food menu, she simply stared at me and walked away, seemingly more interested in socializing with the regular customers. The atmosphere was loud and obnoxious, with the person sitting next to me banging on the bar like a caveman, and the bartender didn't say a word to him to stop it. I felt like an unwelcome guest in someone’s basement. I couldn't get any food, and even ordering a second drink felt like a challenge, as I was met with dirty looks from the bartender. I won’t be coming back!
Tucked away down a flight of stairs and past a door, Buck Murphy's strikes a perfect balance between a laid-back dive bar and a welcoming eatery. It's a charming spot with a fantastic atmosphere and even better food. After several visits, I've sampled nearly all the wings on the menu and have nothing but praise! There’s something for everyone, the prices are reasonable, and the drink specials are excellent.
Three stars but only because I'm confused about what time they close. Google says they close at midnight, but the bartender on staff on June 6th printed our bills at 10:39pm unprompted. I felt like she was trying to usher everyone out early. It left us with no other option but to leave despite wanting to order an additional drink.
Ignore the critics! My wife and I stopped by over the weekend and enjoyed some beers with the local patrons. We loved the welcoming atmosphere and the friendly staff! We can’t wait to return; it truly feels like a hometown bar!

Great local bar. With great food. It's a nice neighborhood bar that as a woman, I don't feel awkward going in alone. Taco Tuesday has great selection of tacos.
It was fun here.. the crowd was welcoming.. I love that for a local dive bar. It's very small but I did enjoy my time here.
Oddly quiet on labor day, which i enjoyed. Food was good and servers were attentive. Will be back again
Been going into Buck Murphy's since the early 90's. Love what they have done to the place.
