The food here is excellent and satisfying, and the owner is both charming and friendly. I initially came in just to grab a hearty meal, but I ended up coming back the very next day, even with so many other options available, because it was that delicious and filling. The owner even remembered us and how we like our food (spicy!). I wish this place were closer to home, but then I wouldn't be able to enjoy the same fresh fish that he used in our two delightful burritos.
There with my Cuban friend late september 2016, Jorge prepared and excellent pork meal along with a salmon plate. EXCELLENT ! Place was fun and funky, Jorge was a real joy to talk with, his wife is a real sweetie. Lo estranamos y su comida rica !
One of the best places in Hilo. I recommend making a trip to this little restaurant. It may seem a little out of place, but you won't stop talking about the food. Eat it.
