So my lovely wife and I are out on a date night, which are sadly far and few between which makes them all the more important. New to the area and decided to try the local club. Joined as members then headed up to the Bull and Barra restaurant. Ordered Veal Schnitzel and Trio of Sliders. No big deal when I received deep-fried 1/2 inch thick Crumbed Steak ( edible but a misrepresentation on the menu of what a "schnitzel" should be) but the worst of this meal was all 3 of the sliders meats (shredded beef, shredded pork and a whole chicken tenderloin) were served cold, not just cool but straight out of the fridge stone-cold. Quite disappointed in the quality of the food. I've been here before for lunch and was great but dinner was one of the worst meals I've had out. The T-bone was very thin, the salad dressing was just blobbed in one spot on the salad, the chips were nice and was the stand out in the dish.The mixed grill said it came with a premium beef sausage which seemed like a cheap thin coles sausage. The lamb chop seemed like it was bought from Coles as well and had alot of fat on it and the steak was a cheap sizzle steak. Parts of the bacon was burnt and the other parts undercooked. If you live in the area or passing by I would definitely recommend their lunch time specials we got the mini Beenleigh beef burger, fettuccini carbonara and 200g Rump steak. All the meals were alot bigger than we were expecting otherwise we would have only ordered two meals. The burger was amazing, the fettuccini was delicious and the steak was good for the price. Rump isn't the best cut of meat but still good value for money.Overall very happy and will definitely be back to try the dinner menuOnly downside is their hours. Really enjoyed our meal here last night. We are new to town and thankful that we have found our new dinner spot. The meals were presented well above par for a "club" and a well thought and large menu make it easy to choose your meal. this place usually has pretty good food. It pays to go on the 2 for 1 or 2nd one half price days as it can be expensive depending on what you order. I used to get the pork ribs 1kg and at 2 for 1 at the time you couldn't buy that in the shops for the price let along have it cooked with chips and salad.
The local sportsclub is a beenleigh institution. Everyone who lives in and around here visits the sporto. Mon to Wed has near 2 for 1 deals. Has very high turnover, so the food quality is always top notch. Quick time from order to table. Highly recommended it.
How hard is it to cook a steak? Way too hard for the Bull & Barra apparently. I asked for it to be cooked Blue but it arrived medium, FFS , so I wrapped it up and took it home for the dog, $28 wasted and went home hungry.

This club is the best in town! The food is fresh and great variety on the vast menu. Staff is friendly and willing to help.when needed. Worth a visit!!
