we went to the bunch of carrots the three of us for Sunday lunch. my wife and I lived with her sister who lives not far from the restaurant/pub. we booked lunch for 2:30 clock the place was busy when we arrived, we were shown quite fast on a table. beautiful decoration. my wife ordered the scampi chips and inherited her sister ordered the smoked scarlet and prawn in a thermidor sauce with chips and inherited. I ordered the car. 3 glasses of wine and a creamy water. the carvery had 3 pork pork pork turkey yorkshire pudding filling ball a lot of sweet roasted carrots and boiled spits. What a great place this is. Me and Her went for lunch yesterday and booked a table. We were initially offered a place in a rather crowded nook but , when asked, the member of staff very quickly offered us one with a little more space. Much better for us vulnerable oldies. I would like to stress that this was done without the gentleman batting an eyelid. He smiled and showed us to a better table. Makes such a difference. The carvery was excellent. Good, basic grub cooked well with tons of flavour and choice. Never let us down. Service was cheerful and even though they were busy and I love the warm, pub feel with the smell of cooking and woodsmoke and no piped music.
This restaurant is quite popular, and since we didn't have a reservation for Sunday dinner, we were pleased that the friendly staff found us a small table. The carvery selection was hot and plentiful, served by a polite chef who expertly carved a generous portion of beef, pork, and turkey for us. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. Although it was our first time dining here, we will definitely return and make a reservation to secure a table. Thank you for the delightful experience, especially the variety of carrots!
My mother discovered this restaurant, and I have to say, I will definitely recommend it to my friends! We had the Sunday carvery, and it was absolutely delicious. I’m quite a picky eater, but I enjoyed the food, especially the choice of meats and sides. The staff were incredibly helpful and understanding, which made for a lovely meal with my mother and her partner after my first year at university. Went to the bunch of carrots, after coming across a recommendation on trip advisor and recommended on a local Facebook page. Lovely 'country vibe pub ' with a large beer garden. Excellent carvery, fresh on a Friday evening, with a large choice of vegetables and potatoes. When discussing if the vegetables were free from dairy, the chef very quickly heated up some plain cauliflower so I could have it with my main. Puddings were huge and a fair range on offer. Will definitely return and will recommend.
In the area for an event so first visit. The staff were really great so helpful and we appreciated being given a table at very short notice. Loved the ambience and decor but felt the carvery at £14 was overpriced and not the best quality. Very little cheese on the cauliflower, carrots almost raw and the gravy was quite bland. Overall though enjoyed our visit.
great country pub, which is also dog friendly. finding a dog-friendly pub was surprisingly difficult in this. they allow dogs in the inner and also serve a great bratkarusseur on a Friday. friendly staff who like to serve even if they order their food in just before their food cut off time. very recommended!( picture: bark roast charcoal
