If I could give it 0 stars I would. They may have been recently refurbished but that’s about as far as it goes. For fast food they are the slowest place ever met. With only half hour lunch I spend most of my time stood in a queue that goes absolutely no where. Manager walks around doing absolutely nothing. Staff staring off into space and moving and slow as possible. It may be Christmas however there’s just no sense of urgency in that place. It is absolutely appalling. Three times I’ve tried to get food from there and it just doesn’t happen I can’t get near a till because the queues don’t move. We live on the North coast of Cornwall, there are not many of the chain fast food restaurants close to us, a few years ago burger king would have been my choice every time against McDonald's, im not entirely sure what has happened to burger king since I frequented them regularly, first the cost, xl bacon double cheese meal almost 10 quid, what one earth was that cheese that was in it, unlike any cheese I've had and I'm a chef, on the occasion we were there a delivery was being checked in by I would imagine the duty manager who deemed acceptable to be swearing loudly with my 9 year old 10 feet away, this is the second bad experience in a matter of months I've had with burger king, not both in...
My husband I visited a few days ago for the first time since the refurbishment as we usually love Burger King but not this time. …we found the screens a bit confusing to use as we were used to ordering face to face but that’s progress I guess. The cheeseburgers tasted as if they’d been hanging around for a few hours but the chips were good freshly cooked). I had the misfortune to visit the toilets talk about follow your nose I could smell urine before I entered the washroom area. In fact it smelt worse than the stairwell in the car park! Yuk. Nobody from Burger King will read this or respond but hopefully will be a warning to prospective customers.
I'd like to give a higher score, the staff were great and the restaurant was clean, however, you don't tend to go to burger king for the atmosphere, you go for fast food. I ordered the chicken royale and I was somewhat surprised to have to search for my burger among the mayo, it was drowned in it on top, underneath and around the sides of the chicken patty, much much more than usual. We have visited this restaurant several times now and prefer the burgers here to McDonald's. The food is great, but we have to address the issue of the toilets being absolutely disgusting. The smell seeps out into the restaurant, which is very off-putting. Additionally, we have noticed a lot of school kids loitering without purchasing anything, with many of them vaping inside the premises. This behavior is not acceptable.
Visited about 14.15 and there were not many people there. No information boards showing what was available!!! Not many staff visible. Had to wait quite a long time for food. Have to say it tasted ok when it arrived. Went into Burger King on Princess Street in Edinburgh a couple of weeks ago and that was truly shocking. So I have had a lot worse.
I was extremely surprised by the condition of the floors and tables at this restaurant. Food was scattered all over the place and the tables were not cleaned. I had to request to be served, as I believe the young girls working there were more focused on practicing their dance moves for a night out. The service was abysmal.
The price for two meals delivered to my house was extortionate. The chips were good, but everything else was flavorless. Additionally, they included lukewarm bottled drinks with the food, which ended up warming the drinks and cooling the food. I haven't been back in years and have no plans to return. Awful grumpy manager who obviously suffers with short man syndrome speaks to the staff in such an appauling way, if it was my son he was talking to like that, this complaint would be going higher! Restaunt was messy and service was slow! For the price these days, we won 't be returning!
