The waitress couldn’t find our booking when we arrived, so huffily directed us to a spare table, where we then sat for around 25 minutes waiting for our order to be taken. In the meantime, we could hear several tables around us complaining about the non existent level of service. Perhaps in hindsight we should have left then as indeed another couple did! After placing our orders, it took another 30 mins for our food to arrive, and what a disappointment... overcooked burgers in soggy buns, accompanied by undercooked oven chips covered in plastic cheese. We were the only four guests in the restaurant on a Saturday night at 8 PM. While the service was excellent, the lack of atmosphere due to the emptiness of the place meant we had to create our own ambiance. The food felt overpriced for what it was, and the main course was particularly disappointing. The burger wasn’t anything to write home about, and for the price, it just didn’t offer good value. We felt a bit sorry for the manager and chef, who seemed embarrassed by how quiet it was. Based on our experience, we won’t be coming back. Sorry!

Additionally, they claimed the chips were gluten-free, but they were cooked in the same fryer as the onion rings. The primary reason I chose this restaurant was because my friend has celiac disease, so we specifically needed gluten-free options. It was quite disappointing.
