Burgschänke - Tisch reservieren

This restaurant left me with mixed feeling. The good news is that the waitress was perfect in every respect and when I discussed the star rating with my wife, it was her who pushed the review to four stars. The food is traditional Franconian (Fränkisch), but was a mixed bag in my mind. My wife had Rinderschmorbraten (Beef Pot Roast) and was very happy with her choice, while I had 6 Nürnberger Bratwürste (Nuremberg Sausages) with Sauerkraut and was very disappointed. To me the sausages were too fatty (cooked in a pan) and lacked the typical aroma I have come to associate with Nürnberger Bratwürste. The Sauerkraut also left a lot to be desired and I joked to my wife that they should have opene...

Visited for summer dinner at 8-ish pm. Finished our stay some two hours late. Considering that the restaurant did not seem full, the waiting times were quite large. Great beer. The prices are acceptable for a downtown location. Food quality was appropriate. Sadly, the goulash seemed nothing like an authentic Hungarian or Slovak goulash I am very well familiar with.

Wir haben uns für ein typisch fränkisches Essen entschieden und sind sehr unzufrieden. Wir haben Scheufele bestellt und glauben, wir wissen, wie es schmecken muss. Zuerst war das Fleisch trocken sowie die Entleerung. Der Preis war relativ billig (20-30% niedriger) im Vergleich zu guten Restaurants in der Innenstadt von Nuernberg. Wir werden nicht zurückkommen.
