the approach is exactly what the name says to fit roadside american diner with food. if their first impression is, I am in france, why go here, they find one of the French restaurants in vernon- there are some good. if they are tired and want...a simple, familiar eating, served by friendly and helpful staff, playing with American oldies in the background, they will enjoy a meal here. apparently the hotdogs are great. my wife had fish and chips, thought they were delicious and could not end the huge portion. I had a steak and sweet and was very satisfied. there is also an outdoor terrace where you can sit and enjoy a drink with friends. (and to the staff of the restaurant I had actually eaten...
While visiting Vernon near Evreux where I live now, I stopped for lunch at this diner. The restaurant really looks and feels like an american diner even though the owners never sent foot in the US! The menu is a frenchised version of an american...menu with burgers, chili, hot dogs, ice cream sundays and shakes. Being a New Yorker, I went with the New York hot dog and couldn't have been more surprised: The hot dog bun was topped with French's mustard and inside were pickles and a real beef sausage (and not unidentified meat as in NYC) Cole slaw and fries came on the side. The whole thing was delicious and I know one would have to search a long time before finding a better hot dog in New York...
Okay, first they should know that I'm not one of those Americans who refuse to eat American cuisine outside the united states. I love a cheeseburger in every country! .and we have visited from them I have a...Cheeseburger and pommes and it was absolutely delicious! it was something of the best bark that I had in every cheeseburger everywhere! as they can see from the picture, I ordered the xl that it would be the size of a big mac. it was huge! Once I got it, I told my wife, I'll cut it in half because I don't want this to eat much fat but it was so good I ate just the whole thing! the riders were also very good. my wife has the Cobb salad and it was good.
Locale tipo fast food americano. In centro a Vernon, con tavoli anche all’aperto. Ci serve a pranzo piuttosto tardi quindi accoglienza voto 9! Burger con patate fritte discreto, insalata con salmone servita in un piatto in crosta di pane fritto. Totale con bevande 30 euro in due. Un po’ lenti nel servire ma nel complesso bene dai.

not me, I'm brittle, but this diner is a typical American import. caesar salat was big and delicious, the chili con carne was just ok not very spicy and very exciting. service was good. would appeal to those who want to escape French cuisine. but why would you?
looked down and looked at the menu. prices are far too high for what was listed. place looked like something from and the flying around did not blur us to order so that we left to find another option.
