I have never had a bad meal at Butch's, and I've never felt compelled to write a review until now. On Monday, October 9th, my husband and I decided to go for an early dinner since it was a holiday. Our waiter, Tyler, informed us that the specials were in the process of being updated, so there would be a short wait. He made sure we had drinks and bread while we waited. One of the specials was blackened swordfish tips served over a Caesar salad, but I asked if I could substitute the salad for mashed potatoes and vegetables instead. The chef graciously accommodated my request. If there were a Yelp for waiters, Tyler would definitely earn five stars for his knowledge of the menu and his meticulo...
The steak tips we ordered were overly salty. When I brought this to the waitress's attention, she tried to insist that it was just the marinade and not the salt. To make matters worse, the owner was in the back without a mask, which made dining there uncomfortable. While I appreciate what Butch's is trying to do, it feels like just a matter of time before they face issues again. I was eager to leave the restaurant and felt threatened when the owner seemed ready to throw dirty water on us and even displayed an obscene gesture. I visited this restaurant for the first time and had a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. My husband especially loved the Butcher's Cut of Prime Rib, and the Veal was just perfect – thin and tender. Our table was ready right on time, which was great. As a chef, my husband is quite particular about his food, but this place exceeded his expectations and truly deserves a 10-star rating. It's now our favorite dining spot! All six of us left feeling satisfied and happy with our meals. A big thank you to Cherie for providing a fantastic meal and a warm smile. I highly recommend this place!
Dining at this restaurant is always a pleasure. We've visited frequently and have never had a disappointing experience. While the menu isn’t particularly innovative, the quality is consistently good. There are plenty of excellent options to choose from, and they feature a fantastic selection of nightly specials. One of my favorites is the baked stuffed squid, which I wish was available on the regular menu! The fritto misto appetizer is outstanding, and they even make their own mozzarella sticks! My wife and I recently had a meal at Butch's Uptown, and we are completely enchanted by this restaurant! The food is outstanding—fresh seafood, delicious meats, and an amazing menu. The service is excellent, featuring the warmest and friendliest staff. Since they now know we make the trip from Tyngsborough every week, we invited some friends along this time, and they've fallen in love with it too! Great new find with positive Friday night hustle bustle atmosphere, but no problem getting a table in a jiffy. There's a wide selection of apps, sandwiches, burgers and dinners. We had a hard time deciding, but settled on the combo fried sampler, french dip and seafood alfredo...no room after that for desert! Phantom Gourmet called out Cheri as the premier server and we were so lucky to win her in the lottery....great attitude and all about making sure we enjoyed...and we did! This place is a keeper and we will be back!
While she really enjoyed her meal, I was extremely disappointed with mine. The sausage meatball was terrible—especially the meatball. I can honestly say it's the worst meatball I've ever had. Whoever is responsible for making those should be fired immediately, and they should take it off the menu. Unfortunately, we won’t be coming back.

I visited Butches for the first time, thanks to my co-worker Joan. We went there today before my appointment, and I really enjoyed the shepherd's pie. The waitress and hostess were both friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be going back soon!
