I first discovered the delicious combination of butter and bacon in 2019 when planning a special event for my father. The owners of Rock Island Public House, where this delightful duo can be found, graciously hosted our party and provided catering services. Best Cinnamon Rolls EVER! In fact, ALL of the pastries (tried 7 of them so far) are fabulously delicious. Far better than a good bakery and elevated with quality ingredients and not trendy spices. This is a community Cafe and has great vibes with the Staff invested in Blue Island and its people. Absolutely a great addition to the food world! Delicious food!!!!! I highly recommend visiting butter upon bacon at Rock Island Public House in Blue Island. Gerry and Gina have created a dining experience that elevates bar food to a whole new level. Hidden Gem Alert! The food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious. I always go for the THC Hot dish and it never disappoints. The desserts are to die for. Don't miss out on trying Chef Gerry's gumbo. And why not enjoy a delicious beer to go with your meal?
I visited this restaurant for the first time today. The café is charming and full of character. The food was wonderful - the focaccia bread in particular was very soft and tasty. I can't wait to return and have a new favorite spot in town for delicious meals.
This is our new favorite spot and its right around the corner! Tried the beef sandwich on focaccia bread and it was outstanding! Also, tried the cinnamon roll.... Out of this world. Might not of been the best idea to try that cause now we are hooked!!!!
