Butter Whiskey - Tisch reservieren

Very disappointing experience. Evidently the owners have decided to have this restaurant not be an Irish Pub, and the menu reflects that. There are no traditional Irish dishes offered at all. My husband ordered an Italian sausage sandwich which was just mediocre, and the presentation wasn’t very impressive. The French fries were good. I ordered corn and clam chowder which was primarily carrots and potatoes, no corn to be seen. It was served nice and hot. There is NO ambiance at all. The bathrooms are right off the kitchen, and when I went to use the ladies room, the door to the kitchen which Is across the hall, was open, which I felt was tacky. All in all, not a positive dining experience.

Butter Whiskey presents itself as an Irish pub. I ordered fish chips, which should be the menu item they rock. The fish and the fries (chips) were over-cooked in the deep fryer. The fried batter on the fish ranged from dark brown to black. The relatively thick (1/2 x 1/2 in thickness) fries were so over-fried that they snapped. This wasn't a crispy outside and soft, chewy inside. Terrible fish and chips. My wife had a featured burger. So-so. Same overcooked fries. The only thing that was OK was the side of cole slaw. Don't bother.

We only have the doors closed for our 6:00 7/2/22 reservation. No sign at the door. Interesting since I received a text to confirm our reservation on the previous day. The staff at Bowdies thought the restaurant was out of business.

Too bad they still have reservations on Open Table. We came to find the place empty, door locked and the business is permanently closed.
