I went to this restaurant to meet up with some friends and discovered that they had set up an outdoor tent for dining in the parking lot. I ordered the corned beef hash, which was served with peppers and shredded hash browns, accompanied by a side of pancakes. Unfortunately, I found the hash to be a bit too salty for my taste and not as crispy as I like it to be. The meal also included some fruit, but it was mostly cantaloupe with only a little honeydew and a grape or two, which was quite disappointing. On a positive note, the service was good... I just wish the food had lived up to my expectations.
Unfortunately, my experience with the food was disappointing. While the ham and cheese omelette was beautifully made, the rest of the full breakfast left much to be desired, especially the two side dishes. The hash browns were dry and tasteless—unless you count burnt as a flavor. The biscuit was so hard and dry that I couldn't even cut it with a knife. It seemed like it might have come from a pre-packaged batch and had been left out far too long. If they could enhance their side dishes, this restaurant could truly become a standout.
I was thoroughly impressed with Butterfield's! While staying at the Renaissance, the front desk staff recommended this restaurant to me. I ordered the salmon and poached eggs, and they were cooked perfectly to a medium doneness! I didn’t expect the service or the food to match that of a fine dining establishment, but this dish was outstanding. If I lived in the area, I would definitely come by every week. The staff was incredibly friendly, professional, and kind. Excellent job!
My husband and I ordered takeout from Butterhills. I decided to go with the chocolate chip pancakes, while my husband chose the corned beef hash skillet. I was delighted to see that my pancakes were filled with plenty of chocolate chips, both in the batter and sprinkled on top. The corned beef hash was fresh, as were the hash browns and vegetables. The restaurant has ample seating both indoors and outdoors, though it can be quite crowded on weekends. The service is prompt and welcoming. Although the decor isn't as modern as some of the newer breakfast spots, it's still more charming than you'd anticipate for the reasonable prices. The menu features a wide variety of options, ensuring that you won't feel pressured to sample everything on your first visit.
The food was excellent! We dined outdoors after a rain shower, but I wouldn't recommend that. There were more flies than one would want to deal with while eating. I would rate this restaurant 5 stars for its hospitality and exceptional customer service. However, the pancakes were a bit dry; they could use a little more fluffiness. This is a lovely casual family restaurant that offers all the classic favorites. The atmosphere is clean and pleasant, though it can get a bit noisy depending on the time you visit.
