Stay away from this racist establishment. I was greeted warmly by the 2 ladies working the counter. I sat down with my laptop for 15 minutes, and then was approached by a white man who I guess was the owner. He says I have to leave. I ask why and he says these areas are for customers, and I said I was. He proceeds to ask where are your items, and I tell him I didn't order anything yet. He rudely says I need to order something, and I tell him he doesn't need to speak to me like that, as it was coming across rude and racist as I was the only black person in the shop at the time. i used to love this place and was a very loyal customer for the past year or 2 but after being “kicked out “ and spoken to rudely i will not be coming back. i was sitting outside on the tables for probably 45 min finishing up some work and planning on ordering after when the owner comes up to me telling me to leave in a really rude way and saying that I haven’t bought anything so i need to leave. even after i politely said “okay i was planning on ordering” she still kept repeating for me to leave . sad because i actually really loved this place and told everyone i know about it and the owner sees me coming in all the time so idk why she was so rude. will not be coming back
My favorite coffee shop in the area! The coffee is consistently fresh and delicious, and their seasonal specials are exceptional. When you combine that with excellent sandwiches and snacks, a warm and inviting atmosphere, amazing staff, and a beautifully transformed space, it all makes for a wonderful experience. Whistling Rail is also a fantastic speakeasy, offering delicious cocktails and a great sense of community. Visiting BXVL Coffeehouse is always the highlight of my week!

Former train station waiting room redone now best little coffee café in Bronxville! It's cozy, clean quiet with a nice combination of seating: high stool tables, long common table, little bistro tables for 2 or 4, nice weather bistro table seating outside too. Pastries are good fresh, many coffee drinks to choose from cheerful staff willing to tweak your order. Bathroom too very clean very prettily done with Spanish tiles. Go, you'll love it!
The coffee was absolutely delightful! It's quite possibly the best coffee I've ever had. I also tried their ham and cheese baguette. Unfortunately, on that day, they couldn't warm up the sandwich (I can't recall if it was due to a broken machine or something else), but even without being heated, it was still a tasty sandwich. The staff was really friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be back in the future!
The pastries and scones are amazing. The fresh sandwiches are also delicious.No AC during the hot Summer months, not healthy or pleasant to sit in during that time. The Staff do their best to serve quickly but there is always a line on the busy days for commuters Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays. Friday’s the service is slow you need extra time to make the train, if you commute.
There aren't many options for a quick breakfast, but the staff is friendly, the coffee is excellent, and the service is top-notch. The atmosphere is fantastic—what a significant improvement from what the stationhouse used to be!
