We may not go out as often as we used to, but whenever we want to unwind, grab a few drinks, and enjoy ourselves, the By-Pass Lounge is our go-to spot. I've actually been coming here on and off for about 12 years. The initial reason we visited (growing up in Scranton, we rarely ventured south of Moosic) was the buzz about the artwork in the bathroom. We were skeptical, so we thought the drive would be worth it to investigate these intriguing rumors. The bartenders are fantastic, and the crowd can be quite unpredictable. Some weekends, it’s so packed that finding a seat is a challenge, while other times, you can enjoy a quiet evening chatting with Jim and the bartender with hardly anyone else around. The bartenders also occasionally offer free shots of whatever they have in surplus, and they’re known for distributing complimentary snacks like cheese balls, ham and cheese crackers, or mini BLT sandwiches!

The Bypass is a cozy bar with a solid group of regulars. If you're planning a visit, I highly recommend Fridays! The bartender, Melissa, does an amazing job that night. The owner, Jim, is also a fantastic guy with a great sense of humor. Just look for the bald gentleman hanging out at the bar and cooking in the back.
If you become a regular here, you'll receive plenty of free goodies, especially on your birthday—it definitely pays to make yourself known! You can even start a band with pots and pans if you feel inspired, and there's a fun opportunity to dance on a stripper pole! The men's room has some entertaining surprises too, and you can enjoy the view without any consequences.

This bar has a unique ambiance, but it feels quite unsettling. I think there are some legal concerns that need to be addressed. The restrooms contain inappropriate material, and there's even a claw machine for adult toys. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place—it’s just an unpleasant experience.
