The stars I've left are based on how I imagine it would have been based on the other reviews! Just leaving this review to say to others to PRE ORDER TAKEAWAYS IF YOU WANT ONE! If we'd been eating in we'd have booked but didn't book anything as didn't realise we'd need to for a takeaway. But we should have as when calling late afternoon/early evening for a takeaway roast we'd missed out. Gutted, but will know for next time. Don't make the same mistake...
Just had a fabulous meal, celebrating my wife's birthday, one of the best we've ever had. The food was freshly cooked, locally sourced, and tasted wonderful. Great value too! Portions were very generous, and the service was excellent. We'll definitely go there again, as we didn't realise there was such an excellent restaurant so close to our home. During our stay at a nearby hotel, we stumbled upon this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the fantastic seafood, laid-back atmosphere, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. The lobster, scallops, and mussels were all amazing. Overall, we give this place a perfect score of 5 for food, service, and atmosphere. The average price per person for dinner was around £50-60. Friendly staff, lovely food. Great to see the 80's toys on display . You could easily pass this place without realising how good it is. Parking: Parking is on the opposite side of the road.
