Whether it's a classic penne boloñesa or a decadent pecorino cheese, the combination of pasta and cheese is simply divine.
The cacio e pepe tasted as if it were made with cream instead of the traditional butter, cheese, and pasta water. It was completely flavorless, and the pepper wasn’t fresh. The pasta was overcooked as well. I only managed a few bites before I decided to discard it. If they can’t execute this dish properly, I have little faith in anything else on the menu. I won’t be coming back.
I've visited this restaurant many times, and it's usually outstanding, but this occasion was a bit different. The service and food were not up to par. Our wine was served too warm, and it took a while for the servers to assist us. The carpaccio was sliced too thick, which made it chewy. However, our main dishes were quite good.
The food was absolutely delicious, tasty, and perfectly seasoned. Everyone was very friendly from the moment we walked in the door until the moment we left.
