As a young man, the Cactus Cafe was the to-go-to place in Sorel, now known as Sorel-Tracy, the place was always jammed-packed, the servers were young and sexy, the tex-mex food was something new to the region and the owners were hot. Only mexican/tex-mex restaurant in Sorel. This is a bar/sport/restaurant place with big screens for watching hockey (in season) They have a bid terrasse outside. They are renovating now, and I have not yet seen the new place. Food is delicious ! I love the burritos,...and the mexican pizza is yummy ! Portions are big, plan on asking for doggy bag. On hockey nights, the waitress will hand you a player's number and if he scores, you win a free beer pitcher ! Parking is sometimes hard to find in this area.

the greeting was ok, we ordered a beer it came fast, but we waited over 40 minutes to order our food. in our waiting time a few sat next to us they had time to order, receive and ate their food before the waiter came back to us. there is a sharing on the table that asks the customers to be comprehensive because they are low staff, but in my opinion, if they do not handle the flow of customers, perhaps the lowering of seat capacity would be a better option.

This a good exemple of what you shouldn't eat and what type of place you shouldn't visit. Starting with service it is terrible there it is not enough people to serve in the place. Food is not just bad it is terrible , it taste...like nothing or maybe plastic, not well serve , you would definitely not finish your dish at all! I found myself in Sorel-Tracy for work during the Gibelotte festival, and knew I had to try the signature festival dish, Gibelotte soup! Until I sampled this, I would never have thought a simple bowl of soup would have filled me up! Was I ever...wrong. I used my bread to soak up every little bit of soup left in my bowl.

Very bad experience. Had steak, chicken wings and fried squid. Everything was disgusting. The place was dirty, full of bees and bugs, things were greasy.Never ever come again.

Pretty good mexican food. Rapid and friendly service. It tends to be noisy when there's a crowd. A part of the outdoor seating is on a busy street.
