The drinks were good however the Half price appy was misleading. Expecting to order from the appetizer menu they had a limited 4 item appetizer: fish taco, beef slider, chicken burger and truffle fries. The fish taco is battered on served on a flour tortilla- while it was flavourful it also was heavy for a fish taco. Tried one on a corn tortilla and it was hard and leathery so a dis appointment. The beef slider was a mini burger and good. They should rethink the appetizer menu so there are more gluten free appetizers especially the half price ones. We have come to this location many times over the years . The family from out of town loves it . I don't know why , but I've never understood the appeal . On our most recent visit the service was excellent , our server was friendly and came by often without being annoying . Part of my problem is there is nothing on the menu that really grabs my attention . It seems to be trying to be trendy and artistic when all I want is a good basic meal. I settled for a burger , which was average . That is my common feeling on every visit . Nothing special. But they are popular so what do I know , it just isn't my type of place . We have just enjoyed and experienced the wonderful food and service of this particular Cactus Club. The brand is new to us as we are visiting from the U.K. but whilst here we have eaten in 2 other branches but I would like to offer special praise to this particular venue. From our original greeter right though to paying the bill nothing was too much trouble, the servers were both friendly and knowledgable of the product and didn't mind taking the time to answer our questions. The food is excellent in fact we enjoyed it so much we even had dessert, I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. If your in the area do yourself a favour and pay them a visit.
I was with a party of 8 and called ahead for a table at 5pm on a weeknight with some work colleagues. Happy hour from 3-6pm which was an unexpected bonus. Almost all of us had one of their several drink specials. I had the mini crispy chicken burger, mini bacon beef burger and fish taco choice from their happy hour menu too. I sampled some truffle fries from another person. Everybody left happy and full.
Look, I like the menu, I like the ambiance, and the staff are well trained. Ate at the bar - the best place to eat when travelling alone by the way - and the service was prompt even though the bar was busy. It is like all other CC locations, and when I don't want to think about the food I'm going to eat, this is the type of place to come.
Seriously??? you have to wait 30 minutes for a little bit of salad .I went to eat with my girlfriend a this "restaurant" at lougheed Hwy, she asked for a salad to share and we had to wait 30 minutes ... I think that you need to study for customer service and get to know how long people can wait for their food..GET BETTER FOOD SERVICE !!
Had appetizers for a late lunch.Seated right away and server was polite.We had the meat balls, trio pasta, yam fries and the soup.All excellent, just like we have had at other locations.A bit pricey but I don't mind paying for quality.Always enjoy Cactus and this location measured up.
it was just about 9:00 and we were going to go to a different restaurant in the same vicinity but it was closed, so we came here with the kids, they gave the kids chicken strips, we had mini burgers and fries and desert , cold beer was good, The waitresses were nice.
Had a lovely lunch here. It's a big restaurant, but still very cozy in a modern style. Even when it's a big restaurant personally I didn't have that feeling. Maybe to the fact that even when it's a modern design, it's also very cozy with the colours and the details.
