Who would have known that you could get great Mexican food at a little take out spot in downtown Arbutus? Tired of the same old pizza and subs, we actually went for a sit down meal. While it feels very much like a take out spot, we had great table service and the food was amazingly fresh. If you like chicken, they offer rotisserie chicken and chicken breast options. Go for the chicken breast! Also, sopes are a nice change of pace! Bottled sodas only but you can get Mexican Coke! Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian options! I love this place. It was introduced to me when I came to Maryland in 2016. I do Taco Tuesdays and Jarrito's as much as I can since I moved out of their delivery area. Service is always quick and friendly. I try to dine in when I can just to take in the atmosphere. We sometimes fight over more sour cream, but I'm not complaining. Chimi's and Fajitas are next on my list to try. The lady in there has a baby that has all her attention and she is not focused on the customers order I called and told her that she didn’t have my whole order and she told me I could order it and it would be a $5 min well I don’t mess up the order she did and she hung up on me three times . If u don’t have a baby sitter and can’t get my order correct than u only get 0 stars . The guys in the back are great but u need a better hostess and order taker ohh and get a babysitter Service: 1
It’s nice to see the diverse food selections in Arbutus. This my first time getting carry out here. It was pretty good. I got chicken/shrimp fajitas. However, the chicken shrimp ratio to tortillas and condiments could have been better. They give you 3 tortillas and a very small spoon full of guacamole and sour cream. I ended up using my own sour cream and putting the lettuce and black beans on the rice and chicken and eating it with a fork. Price was reasonable. Overall, decent food.
Who doesn’t appreciate a successful family run restaurants. I especially respect the to-order meal prep. I have tried just about everything on the menu. One of these days I’ll leave room for a funnel cake. We recently moved and now go out of our way for our Tex Mex cravings. Sauce for the pork tamales was really very tasty and well seasoned. Rice and black bean sides well made. Pork cubes filling nicely cooked. Good air flow ventilation, cool. Unisex restroom very clean, tidy, well-lit. Well worth the meal. Congrats Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
