This is one of the few Basel cafés that will never let you down, their opening times truly are 365 days a year, and even on a Sunday or a public holiday - still very quiet in Switzerland - this place will serve or sell you coffee, fresh Gipfeli (i.e Swiss version of the croissant,) rolls, bread, pastry etc. as early as 8 o'clock in the morning. Have a cosy little breakfast at a reasonable price and you will be served by a friendly staff which will never give you the feeling you lingered too long on too small a fare. have visited this cafe for years. it also took almost two years to make me feel like one of the owners. this, too, because I have pointed out that. Don't go into this local because it's too gloomy. the tables are made clean only on request of the gastes. Nevertheless I have eaten very often sandwiches that were really good.
Ich genieße dieses Café/Bäckerei immer, es ist ruhig und entspannend, das Personal ist immer freundlich, es gibt eine gute Auswahl und immer zuverlässigere Qualität. Toller Ort für einen Kaffee und Kuchen, ein paar Minuten außerhalb der Stadt Basel. Die Straßenbahnlinie 6 hält direkt vor der Tür.
