Ok, I admit, I'm a coffee geek. I'm always on the prowl for truly great coffee. And I have to say it's really hard to find in Ontario. I live just outside Toronto, and have tried many popular cafes there. But so far, I haven't...found anything in the GTA that compares to what I experienced in Italy and also Montreal. I visited Cafe Amalia with my son today. I was truly impressed by the way the owner and his wife Amalia run this cozy place. If I was staying in Welland longer, it would definitely be on my frequent visit list. The owner made me one of the best cafe lattes I have had in a very long time. It was just perfect! His hospitality with us and all his other customers made me feel very comfortable despite being miles away from home.
I decided to check this place out because I was in need of a local coffee shop to get some work done (as I needed a change of scenery from my home). I have to say I was very impressed with the quality of service...and food! I had this sandwich with a bunch of different meats on fresh Italian bread. Honestly, best sandwich I have ever had! I may be making this one of my regular cafes to go to.

Very hard to get into this place. For what I could see looked like they don't caterto people who don't eat meat products. Also no WI-FI in the place.The owner should have that to attract more customers.In my opinion the food did not look to great for what I could see.Needs to be updated to get more people.P.S Sorry for the very late review on this one.
very friendly small family business, always stop in for lattes and I am impressed every time!! so smooth and delicious. first time I stopped in my boyfriend got Gelato, which he loved! and I got a latte and it came to $7!! what a steal.
a real place like this is impossible to find near. great espresso at an unbeatable price. incredibly inviting service and a great overall facility. definitiw a hidden gem. did I mention how delicious the espresso was?
