Great decaf tea. Great general staff team. Awful owner. This is a really mixed review. I spent a lovely couple of hours on the top floor of Aroma drinking several pots of decaf tea and a cinnamon swirl served by polite and cheery staff and enjoying the warmth of the sunshine through the window. I was on my own for most of the time, and then I was joined by 2 small groups. When I arrived, I 'd turned of the music coming from the speaker, as I 'd found the music selection irritating and preferred to listen to the busker outside. I was visiting family and decided to stop at a local coffee shop instead of a big chain. Unfortunately, I instantly regretted my decision. The barista with green hair was extremely rude, interrupting my sister and me as we tried to order. My sister went ahead with her order despite the poor attitude of the barista. I would have left right then and there, but ended up going to Starbucks instead. Although I was not happy about it, at least the staff there were friendly. My sister said the coffee she got was terrible and wished she had gone to Starbucks too. Was led to believe on the online menu that there would be a good dark hot chocolate here. I don 't like it sweet so I always look for somewhere doing a dark option. What a disappointment! So unbelievably sweet could only manage one sip. Really quite disgusting. My husband said it was made with a syrup I think they just add extra syrup for a 'dark ' but it just ends up undrinkably sweet. Wouldn 't go back there.
This café has outdoor seating on a nice street. We chose to sit in the cozy downstairs area, but there is also seating available upstairs. We ordered flat whites, which were beautifully presented with a glass of water, and they cost £3.17 each.

Wow! Just wow! By far the finest coffee experience ever. Proper espresso cup, perfectly toasted panini and a brownie to die for. Expertly presented and nothing too much trouble. Dog friendly (sat outside) and great service. Highly recommended
You place your order at the counter on the ground floor and climb up a narrow winding staircase to tables upstairs. Your food is brought up to you. We had to wait a while for ours to be served. Not the most comfortable or accessible cafe.
Tried for a second time. Once again disappointed. Unwelcoming was our first impression. No hello from two young ladies serving..Yes the place has character. But first floor room seemed a bit grubby. Will not go back.
I have never had better coffee in my life! The coffee is rich and smooth, and I would gladly pay three times what they charge. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming - this cafe is truly exceptional.

Enjoyed a fantastically strong and hot flat white with a glass of water, people watching outside. No wonder there were queues!
We have visited before so knew the coffee was excellent. A quirky café with comfy upstairs seating. Great staff.
