It has slopes down to the actual café but it might be a bit too steep for a wheelchair; at least an inexperienced user. The café itself is very nice and the staff are always helpful. It's also not too loud most of the time so people with sound sensitivity would be alright (I had ear defenders on while eating though. They have screens around each table and seem to take covid very seriously (they have a one way system and always wipe the tables all the staff I could see were wearing masks and you have to scan in to track and trace. The food is very nice too.
I recently visited my older mother. we've been here for a few years. da mamas mobility does not fail, it is not easy to put it in the caffe. the entrance is a steeper narrower away, so would recommend if you don't have quite mobile or stable on the feet. the caffe itself is a joy. beautiful friendly young waitress, with good choice of menu. many is homemade and organic products. the suppe was full. prices are diverse, but reasonable. pleasant terrace and garden to sit on warmer days to eat a coffee and a bite.
What a beautiful shop, fantastic for gifts.... Very friendly and helpful staff too. They have a beautiful selection of velvet bags, lots of interesting books to buy, and my favourites, bunnies and little fluffy animals made by Kelly cat. A fantastic shop to go into and browse, lots of Christmas items to purchase, and a wonderful coffee shop to pop into, once you have made your purchases.
We ate lunch here after wandering down the high street in Castle Douglas. The staff were friendly, there was a pleasant busy atmosphere. The meals were really great as were the coffee and cakes afterwards. Good toilet facilities and enjoyable browse in the shop too. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
the original garden hidden at the back of the load will attract them, the fresh and tasty products in their sandwich they will win! if they are looking for quiet lunch with fair price, good food and amazing cake, I recommend this caffe!
I had a great time sitting in the shaded garden, sipping a delicious cup of tea to escape the intense sun. The cheese scones were delightful. The owner kindly allowed us to stay even after closing time while they cleaned up.
I ate with my wife. I had an excellent tomato basilikum soup with fresh bread. my wife enjoyed a tuna sandwich. it was a bit too cool to enjoy the walled garden, but it is a beautiful place.

it is the law to go into designs caffe when they are in castle douglas, eat and service always excellent its scandal that I only are there when we are on vacation.
