Beautiful place, ambient is nice. Service was good, not great. Server wasn’t as attentive but still decent. We took longer to decide and order and I think our server was getting annoyed, I looked over at him and he was talking to the hostess and they were both looking directly at me. We came here to celebrate a birthday, this place was recommended by a acquaintance from school. I ordered the chicken Paesano like he recommended, the sauce is saltier than necessary, I’d rate it 3/5. The chicken is yummy and tender, the string beans were so thin, you could probably find better quality string beans at the supermarket, the dish also had potato Italian sausage. My family ordered the fried calamari...
So disappointed. I heard great things about this place and we decided to stop by for a late lunch, instead of going to our regular spot. That was a mistake . The bread was probably the best part. I got lobster ravioli and it didn’t taste fresh, and the other people I was with got the trittico and even they said it wasn’t as flavorful as the sauce they have at Montana Brothers in Freeport. Lesson learned to stick with what you know!
I have been to Cafe Baci a few times now and I have to say every time, I have enjoyed my experience. My absolute favorite is the tartufo dessert. But everything is delicious on the menu. I tried the Chocolate Martini and it was so good. The calamari was just right as well. Keep in mind that this restaurant gets pretty busy but luckily I was able to get seated right away which was great. Overall lovely experience once again.
I used to frequent back in early 1990"s and after years went there recently for a business meeting No wonder this place survived so many downturns ... food us still amazing and as authentic as it was back in hay days... Kudos Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

This is one of the best Italian restaurants in Long Island. The portions are very huge and it will definitely make you full afterwards. They give free complimentary bread that taste just like pizza. You must try the tortellini and the penne alla vodka!
