Was recommended Cafe Baci by enough friends and co-workers to give it a go. I don’t normally make a special trip out for Italian food since there is an abundance of options in Nassau County but this was a nice treat. Starting out the location in the outside doesn’t do the inside justice. Check out the photos before going and you’ll see why. Inside it is quaint and modern with an Italian winery vibe. The restaurant screams date night not pizzeria take-out. There’s no yelling or anything that can be found in a place specifically designed for families although they are certainly welcomed. The food portions are humongous and my party took half our dishes home Penne Fascili and Rigatoni Mushroom)...
Came in for lunch and their lunch menu was Not available this particular day. The bread basket was deliciously soft and had the texture of a garlic knot. I probably had too many and spoiled my appetite from how good they were! We shared the calamari which wasn’t anything special but a heaping portion of them. Then we had the rigatoni bolognese which was creamy, flavorful, and big serving enough to take home! Finally we ended it with a tiramisu which was like 2hx4lx4w aka huge! I don’t usually like tiramisu but it was really yummy but still somewhat defrosting. Johnny, our waiter, consistently checked in on us to make sure that everything was good. We got pasta, which was good. We got chicken parm and chicken gluten free penne with spinach and mozzarella. The chicken parm wasn't very crispy but the flavor was good. The other pasta dish was good too, but had too much mozzarella to finish very much of (I'm lactose sensitive). I couldn't tell a difference between their gluten free penne and normal pasta. The portions are huge! We ended up getting the red sauce to use with our own pasta as well.
Having lived here most of my life I was surprised I never tried this until now. Went here on a Thursday evening and it was pretty busy, the parking lot was full so had to park on the street behind it. The atmosphere was good and the service was very good. The food is good quality with very big portions. All in all we were all satisfied with our meals and took home plenty of leftovers. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
I’ve always driven by and wondered what it looked like inside and I finally made the decision to go in and try. To my surprise I was extremely pleased!The ambiance was nice and my server was good but the food even better. Also ,the pizza bread is sooooo delicious!
The portions of the food are HUGE, so definitely worth the price. The ambiance and design of the restaurant makes you feel like you are back in the 90s. I recommend getting an espresso martini, it was delicious
Food is delicious as always. Atmosphere is very dated but that's fine. Excellent service as well. Highly recommend Cafe Baci's!
