Wow! I can understand why this Italian restaurant has such high ratings. While I was out of town, I was searching for a good Italian place, and I stumbled upon this gem. The manager, Debbie, went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and took excellent care of me, even during the busy Friday evening dinner rush. My waiter, Evan, provided excellent and prompt service. The friendly and personable owner, Joe DiMaggio Jr., prepares delicious Italian dishes right in the bar area, which is adorned with unique parasols. Wow! I can see why this Italian restaurant has such high ratings. I was in from out of town and looking for a good Italian place, I walked in and was greeted by the Manager, Debbie, who went out of her way to make me feel welcomed and took great care of me. This isn?t so much about the restaurant as the service we received. It was the worse service ever. Our server had an attitude as soon as we were seated. We placed our orders. Got one meal wrong. When meal was brought out we told them what was ordered. Server came to table and said I read the order back to you. Everyone at the table agreed on what was ordered. I decided to cancel my meal because by the time I would of gotten mine everyone else would be done. When I asked the server to cancel my meal, he threw the cheese grater down and stormed off. The art in the place was wonderful. Very nicely decorated, always kept my eye busy while eating. The lighting is pretty dark, so bring some reading glasses if you typically struggle with reading small text. I had the manicotti, it was very filling but I just wanted to keep eating it because of how good it was! My vegetarian friend had the veggie pizza and said it was the best veggie pizza she?s ever had. Super colorful and perfectly cooked. The food and staff here are outstanding. Marc, our favorite server, is incredibly friendly and attentive. They serve the best veal and espresso martini I've ever had. Every dish we've tried has been excellent. The atmosphere is great, and they also offer outdoor seating, where we could bring our pet. I highly recommend this restaurant, but it's a good idea to make reservations since it can get quite busy.
We visited this restaurant for the first time last night, and it was amazing! We began with the house's garlic mozzarella sticks, which were delightful. Then, we enjoyed the chopped lobster and shrimp pasta with spinach. We also ordered a grilled chicken pizza, which was fantastic. As we dined, we were entertained by three talented artists who were creating their artwork. I highly recommend this place!
OMG! This is a favorite of family who live in Sarasota area. When visiting they took us here. Like being in NY. Service, fantastic,, treated like family! The food,, excellent! From pasta to pizza! Highly recommended! Enjoy!! Oh, btw, they have artists painting inside and a live orchestra outside!!!

Fantastic spot! It gets really busy, so make sure to make your reservations in advance. The food, atmosphere, and service are all outstanding. Be sure to try the eggplant!
