Although thee are steps and I use a large walking frame, the staff were quick to come and help me into the cafe.we enjoyed lovely food, I had chunky cod burger, which was a freshly cooked breadcrumbed fillet of fresh cod, in a bun. It came with perfectly cooked chips and a lovely side salad and homemade coleslaw.Mum had cream tea, a pot of tea, a scone with cream and jam and throughly enjoyed it, while my husband had the soup of the day, curried lentil which he thoroughly enjoyed.Then we were naughty and had crepes, we had crepe tintin, a play on the French tart tintin, and mum had chocolate with vanilla ice cream.All the food was beautiful and tasty and we were well fed.As we left we were a...
Good little café with outdoor seating on the pavement. Gluten free and vegetarian options available. Children's menu available for under 12's. Comprehensive and reasonably priced menu. Prompt, pleasant service. When paying, you get proffered a complimentary chocolate from their chocolaterie, which is a nice touch. I had a slice of tea loaf and it was very, very good, most tasty. I had a pot of green tea, served in Hornsea Pottery. I also had an iced Belgian chocolate and oh my, it was fabulous. Beautiful. Would definitely have that again and recommend it on a hot day. Very good café, would revisit and would recommend.
My son indulged in a dessert of salted caramel crepe with vanilla ice cream, which he devoured in no time. My partner enjoyed a cappuccino that he described as very nice, while the children had soft drinks. The total bill came to £44. To our surprise, we received a complimentary piece of chocolate after our meal, and we even ended up purchasing a box of chocolates to take home. Café Chocolat is a charming spot with friendly and attentive staff who went above and beyond to assist us. If we return to Hornsea, we would definitely choose to eat here again.
beautiful little caffe, we have dipped into lunch today and the food was beautiful. the coffee was nice, the hot chocolates were to die! I had crispy chicken sluice with BBQ sauce, the huh was hot and really fresh. there were 6 of us on our table that was something tight, so it is definitiw not ideal for larger parties due to the size of the caffes, but the personal could not do enough for us to keep us comfortable. will definitely be back, love the free chocolate choice if we also pay. I didn't want to go where I was somewhere on the way. they allow dogs to sit outside. the service was pleasant. I didn't expect it, but their roasted potato cubes and crispy bun (juli on the inside and crispy on the outside, between the rolls) were the best I ever had. coffee was also very aromatic and somewhat stronger than elsewhere, which fits me. the crepps looked good and tasted good, but the tasty taste was a bit high in direction end.
I was disappointed that I couldn't dine with my daughter due to her peanut allergy, as the restaurant didn't seem accommodating for individuals with allergies. It's unfortunate.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, and both the food and service quality are excellent.
