We came across this café as we were descending from Croix Rousse back into Vieux Lyon. As is customary for us, our hunger developed after the allotted time of 1200-1400 or so, which seems to be the standard time for lunch in France. So we were pleased to see that this café was still serving.Several people were eating outside, but the weather was borderline, so we decided to eat indoors. We were served very promptly – and very helpfully – by the staff, given our flawed, rusty, secondary-school French. The meat dish (Viande Jour) and pot of red wine went down very well. A welcome repast – we’d be happy to return.

Today we were eating there on the way to the moee beaux arts next door, and we were looking for a quiet atmosphere and we came up with this place of full, the phenomenal food, the magnificent attention and my traveling companion was filled right away and when they went to serve the second dish that I had asked said that I could no longer, and that I would pay it, because they were super friendly and did not charge it.
friendly restaurant, nice staff. quality at the price level. The only thing that got me a little off is to have to pay 4€ 50cl of tap water. They probably have a system to filter the water from the tap but to make a mineral bottle pay for the water from the processed tap it's limit! Next time we'll ask for a water caraffe!
This establishment is not in the old lyon but we advise you to go. After admiring the OL frescoes, you have to go up the street to find the restaurant on a square. you will be quiet and the service is of quality. The dishes are good. Personally, the ravioli of the dauphiné are a treat.
Wanting to settle for a fresh drink, it's okay but no more, no more welcoming than that, and, very disappointed by their ice tea house that had the taste of the lime pulco supermarket.
