The best spot on Plaza Major serves a delicious 3course menu for less than 20 euro. Even including one drink. A lot of choice and it all looks and tastes wonderful. We had mushrooms with ajo, a great chicken salad, porc knuckles, cooked to perfection. And salmon, also wonderfully prepared. The dessert was also very good and all was beautifully presented. We don't understand how they can do this for that price. Even the service was excellent. 5 stars, well deserved!
The usual issue when transiting Spain. Where is there a restaurant that opens for early meals? Found this restaurant on the Playa Major. Food was of a good quality but the service lacked a personal touch. Nice selection of Spanish dishes (menu only) and both the food and wine were reasonably priced. Will return but will also expect a more engaged manner from staff.
We had two excellent lunches here in October. The staff were lovely and hepful. The Menu del Dia is exceptional value for the quality of the food and the location. The cafe was probably somewhat understaffed but the waiters were attentive, courteous, and very pleasant to deal with. This was our go to place for coffee/drinks/lunch. Covid procedures followed well.

Excelente menú diario en Valladolid, muy recomendable, que se disfruta en un ambiente con mucha personalidad. El mítico Café del Norte se considera el diván del psicoanalista por el que ha pasado toda la ciudad .
