After an interesting walk around Cognac old town, we found this cafe. The plat du jour (bavette à l’échalote) at Euro 8.50 caught our eye and we stopped for lunch. This is a classic French bistro dish and the cafe managed it just right. Simple but delicious, served with a big portion of frites (chips) and lettuce. There was a small charge for mustard, ketchup, etc.Friendly server. Clean washroom.On the downside, dogs were allowed in the cafe. Fortunately we were seated outside.
located at the entrance of the old cognac. It's changing! At least here the plates are full and we don't go back with the tummy. super terasse in front of the oldest cognac house. We can just go and have a drink. They're barking. It's a little sad, but it's not important! you can like some accustomed to having long and interesting conversation with the boss!!! I heard that ct older cognac bar . go there !!!!!
My family wanted a quick lunch during the Cognac blues festival and we were very pleasantly surprised to find this little cafe with a jam session outside the restaurant. We all had the ham steak with fries and it was delicious ham...not too salty and just enough food for a light lunch. The price was good so all in all a very great experience especially with the addition of the live music.
We didn't want a big lunch but between the four of us we had a tasty omelette, a steak and chips and two salads - and we all enjoyed our choices along with some beer and wine. It was a reasonable price and a pleasant experience. Service was friendly but a little slow. That said we weren't in a hurry so it didn't bother us. small tables on the way to this tiny family bistro. waitress very nice and always smiling, rich choice of salads and pancakes. popular among the inhabitants. I ate a well-made niçoise salad (egg cooked to perfection without the frequent greenish streaks), water and red wine to glass. counts 19 euros.
I liked this place at first, the food was very good, the service was also good but why would they charge for a spoonful of mustard? How bizarre! With all the restaurants to choose from in Cognac, I don't need to go back there.
very warm welcome, very nice little troquet, atmosphere as at home! Various and varied omelettes that look delicious. We had a good time.Warning however not to put fries at home on the menu while they are frozen fries!
