Experience of the day: irreproachable cuisine, very pleasant and friendly server, but very disappointed by the manager. I came today and it was not the first time, with my little dog. I was set up with my friend on a table, my little dog was buried. I didn’t ask for anything and the server kindly brought me a chair for my dog. A few moments later, the manager came to pick it up by specifying that he had just redesigned the decoration and did not want his chairs to be damaged. I totally understand, but getting me posted in front of the rest of the clientele while I didn’t ask for anything at the base, made me extremely uncomfortable. We drank here in the day with our two teenage girls for company. We had two rounds of drinks and the bill was only 20 euros, cheep for France by our experience. We lived to atmosphere of relaxed background hip hop and lots of local young people socialising. We returned for food that night we liked it so much. The menu is simple with some great salads then about a choice of five main courses . All very reasonably priced and if good quality. Think good Blount food, nothing more but great service and great environment. Not a restaurant night but just what we wanted.
We had lunch here with friends from the Creuse. The service was very good, especially as we arrived towards the end of lunch service. A quick check with the kitchen and we were seated and very well looked after. The salads were great, and the burger also received good reviews. Finished with deserts / cheese and coffee. All up a very pleasant place. Even though we were late arriving, we were not rushed during the meal and the chat over coffee that followed.
The restaurant was very reasonably priced and had a good varied menu. Located in the square also provided a good atmosphere. The service was a little slow to start with but once they took the order it was all okay from then on. Most people eating seemed to be locals which is normally a good sign. We were staying in the Colbert Hotel travelling down to the south of France. The restaurant was about a 15 minute walk away.

Good reception Order taken quickly leaving us the time to choose. Effective service, leaving us time to taste our dishes. Day menu: delicious from the entrance to the dessert. Very well presented and copied plates. Kind and attentive staff. Clean restaurant. Ambiance: a little loud. Good value for money.
This cafe come restaurant is absolutely wonderful. Located right in the main square, it’s a great place to go to for lunch, great thai-style food, or even just drinks in the afternoon sun, always absolutely full of locals, it is clearly the place to be in Chateauroux! Highly recommended.
Very good address to Châteauroux. French and Asian cuisine, there are for all tastes. From the entrance to the dessert we were seduced by the delicateness of this kitchen. Don’t hesitate!
Had a great lunch in the sun at cafe face. Good selection of good- I had pad thai and my husband had a great burger. V friendly staff too. Great place for a leisurely lunch.

This place, usually full of locals at lunch, serves the best gargantuan size salads in town. My favourite tha Salade du pays basque.
