I haven't been here in years, and yet, this place is still bursting with awesomeness! The manager Rafael was so darn accommodating for my friend and I that he made our dining experience enjoyable. Here's what we ordered: 1. Shrimp/mango ceviche: A MUST HAVE! 2. Tilapia taco: DEFINITELY MUST HAVE! 3. Cuban tamale. 4. Media Noche (midnight) /Cuban sandwich w fried plantains. 5. Cuban classic roast pork w fried plantains and arroz Amarillo. Overall, this place is rated #7 best Cuban places in the world in 2019 for a reason. Where to start.....well let's start with the greeting.....unwelcoming. Wait staff seemed like we were bothering him. No personality. Told him first time there. No response. Asked about the sweet bread, and he said it was bread that was sweet.... All food was barely warm, nothing hot. The mixed vegetables consisted of one cauliflower, one broccoli, 5 pieces of carrots, and about 10 stems of broccoli.....no flavor.....and again not even warm.....no need to go back.
I've never been there. We arrived at around 2 or 3pm, it was quiet. Server was excellent and attentive. The food was AMAZING. The art is tasteful and the decor is well done. Even the heat from the hot water when you wash hands in the bathroom was at a very comfortable, but effective level. The restrooms were clean and it's overall one of the best restaurants I've been to in a very long time. Will go back!

We were driving from TX to LA on a cold rainy day and wanted to get away from the roads. Good music, fresh food, strong coffee and pleasant service. Everything was great. We’ll come back.

Hands down best Cuban place around ! Super nice staff super fresh food clean restrooms, cute bar area live music, great specials and one of the best tamales I’ve ever eaten
