I have visited cafe loom on a number of occasions during my time living in the village. I have always found the staff to be extremely welcoming and friendly. I visited the cafe with my year old son recently who has an allergy to...milk and egg. I asked the waitress who came to take our order what was available for him to eat and expressed what his allergies were. The reply I received was an abrupt and rude ham'. Honestly, I was so shocked and taken aback by the comment that I was stunned into silence. The member of staff followed it up with well can he eat bread with the most unhelpful and abrupt tone. I love this great shop and the cafe looks enticing. I am a visitor to the area and have shopped here before. Recently, with my eight-month-old granddaughter in her pushchair, I tried to enter the shop. Impossible as there are several steep steps. No worries....I asked a chap to help me up the steps. Once inside I added an assistant where the disabled access was thinking I could use that. “Haven’t got one.” Was his reply. “Isn’t that against the law?”, I said. “No. We’ve got four floors.” Whatever that means. So, no lift. I asked what mums with babies should do. “Carry them,” was his reply. I am reporting his words exactly. I would question that this place is exempt from making it accessible...
I regularly bring my kids to Cafe Loom. They always request it, mainly for the hot chocolates and chocolate chip shortbread biscuits. Situated within a flooring and gift shop it is a lovely place to come for brunch and lunch and really like the specials...they put on. It's a small cafe but we have always been able to find a table. After opening up post lockdown they have sanitisers on entering, the table and chairs are fully sanitised after each customer and you can get the menu on your phone via a QR code (I think). You do have to walk up some stairs to get to the cafe and I am not sure if there are toilet facilities here (never had to use them) and it is in the centre of Honley, so great l...
We visit this cafe quite often to meet friends or just for a quick coffee or tea. It's a great cafe with very pleasant helpful staff. They are happy for you to join tables together if you are in a group. However their website...is out of date, it says they do afternoon tea but no longer do. Also beware if you have any mobility problems as there are six shallow steps to negotiate on entry egress. We can highly recommend the carrot cake the Bakewell tarts!!!

I was moved to another room to the back (out of the way) as I had a pram, only one high chair available and it was in use when I got there. No baby changing facilities. Not baby/child friendly at all. Staff seemed rude and...we’re all sat round a table when I decided to leave, no help offered to get the pram down the steps outside. Won’t be going back!!
Called here whilst walking through the village, the staff on duty were very friendly and found us a table. We chose our drinks and they came very swiftly, they were all very nice. The place itself is very clean and tidy, great decor that you...can actually buy as the building also seems to double as a kind of carpet/furniture shop. We enjoyed our stay
The Wensleydale and apple chutney toasty in warm Granary bed with red cabbage coleslaw and couscous is my personal favourite. It competes with the frangipane tart however, the pastry for which is crumbly and light. A lovely place in which to do some Xmas shopping...upstairs and have a coffee on my own or with friends. Always a warm welcome
Lovely cafe with a super menu and very friendly and helpful staff. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. We'll worth a visit.
