I hear there may have been a change of ownership. It has not been for the better. We are lucky to have a house near Vence so know most of the eateries. My wife is Vegan and had the audacity to ask for a pizza with no cheese. The waiter (might be the owner) treated her like something he had found on the bottom of his shoe. When the season is over and this establishment is scratching around for business we will take great pleasure in taking our Euros elsewhere. We are easy to please and only ask for reasonable value and good service. This is the only poor experience we have ever had of the local restaurants.
being in a hurry, we chose this establishment because it was the 1st that was present to us during our visit but we were disappointed! unheard of atmosphere. dirty glass. very medium kitchen and less appetizing plates. a meat plate with a very small piece, and some fries at 20.90€! A piece of quiche probably warmed up to the micro waves because the paste was soft, it was clearly seen that it did not dating the same day! In addition, a bottle of water at 6,50€... to sum up, we really didn't treat each other. address not to remember.
We selected this cafe because it is on a corner perfect for people watching. There were also quite a few locals as well. Thats always a good sign. We ordered a delicious vegetable quiche and a seasonal salad. The potions were satisfying, the owner and server were charming and engaging. Felt very welcomed. Went back the next day for breafast and he was happy to see us. Very nice guy. Mushroom omelet was great.
What a disappointment. Rude staff, poor food, tiny portions. Add to this stale bread and dirty crockery and you have a perfect recipe for somewhere that needs closing down immediately. AVOID AVOID AVOID

We had a lovely dinner on a Sunday evening at Cafe Matisse. The staff were very friendly and took the time to explain the menu. We found the food to be great and would recommend this cafe.

Lovely setting and delicious pizza. We especially loved their Aperol Spritz! The server was friendly and helpful.
you can not pay a bottle of water 4.00 € and a cappuccino (bad) 4.90 € to avoid absolutely!
