I went to the Café Merci this afternoon to pick up some tarts to enjoy at home with my family. While I was waiting to be served I looked at the variety of items behind the glass and started to notice that there must have been between 75-125 fruit flies all over different items. There were tarts that were literally covered. It was without a doubt one of the most disgusting things I've witnessed in an establishment serving food. What was especially entertaining was that the person behind the counter wasn't even remotely bothered nor concerned about the flies. The idea of using a vinegar/soap trap to fight this type of situation doesn't seem to be of any interest but to sell people the fly infe...
Really enjoyed my experience at Cafe Merci. I don't speak German (first time visit) and the staff were extremely helpful and saw that I was using the technology I had to translate menu. The food came promptly, I had the cheese burger. It was one of the best burgers I've eaten of the smashed variety I believe. The beer was also excellent but that's completely expected of our German friends. Highly recommended.
This cafe offers delicious small meals (very tasty soups) along with excellent cakes and coffee varieties. As in Bad Soden, this Café Merci in Kronberg is located in the town center. It is right next to the market square and offers ample tables outside on an upper terrace overlooking the square. I recommend it as a great place for a morning or afternoon pause to enjoy cake and coffee with a French flair.
Nice ambience and great food! We visited Cafe Merci for sunday brunch and were not disappointed, they serve a variety of hot and cold drinks along with a wide range of breakfast specialities, salads as well as soups. The highlight however is the desserts, freshly prepared and delicious. I would recommend the Choclate mousse and ofcourse the Kusmi tea variations.
You have to try the little cakes they have. Even if you don't want to eat one just go and check out their presentation of all different cakes and it will change your mind. The espresso and coffee are very good and forget about Starbucks.
Toller Service und schönes Ambiente. Die Desserts hier enttäuschen mich nie und ich war angenehm überrascht, wie gut ihre warmen Gerichte waren! Ein schöner Ort für einen lässigen Brunch!
Das Geschäft befindet sich im Stadtzentrum, es gibt einige Sitze draußen mit schöner Aussicht. Die Kuchen sind hausgemacht und sehr deliös, das Personal ist freundlich.
I had two amazing lunches here during my stay in Kronberg. The pumpkin cream soup (Kürbiscremesuppe) and the Maultaschenpfanne were so delicious and well-presented!
Perfekt after a visit the castle here is perfekt place to drink a coffee and delicious carrot cake
