Cafe Nuevo in Providence was, unfortunately, a disappointing experience. The service was the biggest letdown—our waiter only came to the table three times during the entire course of the meal (2 hours). He had to be asked to bring bread and never refilled the water. As for the food, it was fine at best, but nothing to write home about—definitely not good enough to make up for the poor service. Overall, Cafe Nuevo left much to be desired, far better restaurants in the city for the same or lowers prices.
My parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at Cafe Nuovo. I wanted to surprise them but I live in Knoxville. Well, the amazing staff helped me surprise them with a bottle of champagne and dessert. Christian made my parents feel very special and they said that the food and service (thank you Christian I.! were brilliant. Thank you again for creating a lasting memory for the best parents ever!
Had an excellent birthday dinner. Food was on point. Nice atmosphere inside. May try outdoor seating next time as it looked amazing. I couldnt stop picking at the remnants of the lamb shank after getting home. Im still thinking about the Crispy Sushi and the Creme Brulee too. Will definitely be back. Host/server/staff all helped make a memorable dining experience.
I have walked by Cafe Nuovo many times and always noticed it to be packed with customers. I was eagerly looking forward to finally getting the opportunity to dine at Cafe Nuovo.
