Historically what differentiated France from the rest of the world was that the working class enjoyed good food as much as the middle class, and there were restaurants like this to serve them. As France has become more global, this kind of place, where you can get simple delicious food at a low price has steadily disappeared giving way to fast food, chains and sandwiches. Excellent lunch in a small village bistro! Very friendly service who patiently explained the dishes to us as French is not my native language. There is a small selection of dishes, but they are all very tasty. I can definitely recommend the restaurant!
