On Saturdays, I look forward to ordering the Baja Shrimp meal...and last night, I placed an order for the shrimp tacos through my app. I was happy to go pick up my order because I THOUGHT I would be eating nice, juicy, seasoned shrimp for dinner. I went in to pick up a late lunch takeout for my family and waited in line for 30 minutes. There were three people ahead of me in line so I didn’t think it would take very long to order. Granted one of the people ahead of me had a few dishes to order and it appeared some online orders were coming in too. However, the people taking orders were working in slow motion as they put together the orders. They didn’t seem to be working as a team, and whenever they asked for refills (multiple times) from the back they were ignored. I’ve been to this location a few times only in the evening and the service, quality, and food portions always bring me back. The manager is the best she’s always friendly, smiling and will go beyond what you expect to satisfy and help a customer out. I’m a first responder and she and her staff have always given me the first responder discount, which i appreciate so much. This location is the best in the city hands down!! Ordered 80.00 worth of food on their app .. paid the 7.00 service charge to be left with a completely wrong order. Both salads missing ALL TOPPINGS … ordered soup with rice, chicken, cheese… I received soup filled with corn, avacado, pico, completely missing order of chips and salsa.. missing the Pint of salsa.. kids meal missing drink .. missing tortillas and side sauces ordered. Called 9 times to try and get this rectified … no answer on the phones. Absolutely ridiculous
Went in to have lunch. Took them 30 mins to help the customers in front of us. Get up to order my food and they say they are out of steak and have to cook some. Hadn’t even put it on the burner yet even though it was out already. Tells me another 10 mins I will have to wait. Then when the streak is finally ready she gave me such a small portion I left hungry.
Outstanding timely, friendly and tasty experience. I definitely will be back for more. Two times is not enough! Thanks much Cafe Rio! The catering service is better than the on-site experience and that's great too!
This is the SLOWEST Cafe Rio I have ever been to. Not just once but every time. What is the deal? Don’t come here if you want your food quickly. That will never happen.
