I have been coming here since 2018. I usually have a good experience, but since last year I’ve noticed a drop in the quality of the food. I’ve been trying to give them grace, but I have had less than stellar food the last 2 times I have been there. The final straw was ordering Jollof and kelewele for a friend and I. The kelewele was simply not tasty. I could forgive it if it was simply due to the plantain being a little harder than I would like it, but the kelewele spice mix was just not done well. Then the Jollof basically had no actual flavor. All I tasted was seasoning cubes. It was really disappointing getting my food to go, only to come home and still be left hungry. Hopefully something...
First time trying this place. Didn't like how the waitress with the braids named Mel treated me. I wanted to walk to the bar but she stood in front of me like I couldn't just walk to the bar without her asking me where I'm going. I decided to order my food and when the food came out I put my hand out to grab the bag and she didn't even put it in my hand she placed it on the counter. I'm not sure if she had an attitude towards me but she made me feel very uncomfortable. Hopefully she treats other women better. Bc I will not want her to be my waitress again.
The place is great. It’s sort of a cross between a club and a restaurant. There are multiple items listed as “Vegetarian.” However, the only items on the menu that aren’t made with meat are the Kelewele, The Red Red, and the Jollof Rice. All the other “vegetarian” items have a fish/seafood base.Still, they were upfront about it and that is appreciated.The food was delicious. Our friends got the Talapia and the Jollof rice with Beef.Everyone enjoyed the food.I’ll definitely be back.
Please be careful when ordering from this restaurant. I spent almost $150 with most my dishes with white rice. Not only were the okra, efo riro, and red stew completely tasteless, all of the white rice was spoiled. You can tell the rice was old and reheated several times and the smell was so rank. I’m surprised at how kitchen staff didn’t catch this and proceeded to serve it. The food made me sick. Order at your own risk.

Wow. Just wow. The staff. The food. Wow. Wow, wow, wow. Please, please, please come here if you want pure authentic West African cuisine made with so much love. The atmosphere was amazing, the staff was sweet and had the best sense of humor to keep the night going. 11/10 for everything. Had the Egusi with pounded yam (fufu) and chef's kiss ... Amazing.
Why is the food so awful my goodness. Do you people actually taste what you cook and agree amongst yourselves it’s good to go? Wow, I ordered jollof and it was awful!! Tasteless lacking any flavor gosh I couldn’t believe it. Even their soup meals are awful. Hire a better chef or take a cooking class. It’s embarrassing
The host/ waiter was very attentive and the restaurant is nice. However, I was taken back by the meat pie. 7$ for 1. The meat pie was tasteless and extremely HARD. It was not fresh at all. The beef suya was flavorful and tender.
Kid-friendliness: They have some high chairs and they are happy to serve kids. Not really a kids menu, but lots of bite-sized options kids love like kelewele, fried plantains, or beef suya.

Like other reviewers, I’ve noticed a decline in quality. I ordered jollof rice, and it tasted stale. I won’t be ordering from here again.
