We parked outside "Le St Léo" to explore a little bit of Alençon (a town I had lived in about 25 years ago!) en route to Le Mans.This little café was very welcoming indeed. We enjoyed a beer and a white wine alfresco in a pleasant part of town (Le quartier de Saint Léonard). We didn't want a 2 course hot meal, as advertised on the blackboard, just a little snack. The owner & chef rustled up a super salad: cold hams, gherkins, melon, fresh bread & butter and salad. Delicious fresh produce and for just a couple of euros. Honestly!

Great find. The in place in town, will worth finding out. Friendly staff who made us very welcome, English spoken which was helpful. Good range of beers and wines. We will be back....
Food really good, service and welcome excellent. Price really low . Well worth a visit. Quirky interior. Wish I could eat here every day. Punches above its weight worth a visit .

This place has a nice setting opposite a church and has outdoor seating. We just had a coffee that was nice enough and not too expensive! Great little place with a good location

Great cafe with good food and amazing service. The lady was amazing and she couldn’t do enough to translate and offer us drinks. Sat outside and had a lovely lunch and desert.

The fries and poutine didn't wow me either time I've eaten here They were good, but not amazing knock your socks off kind of flavour.
Staff was amazing and friendly: portion size very small for the price and fries which they are suppose to be known for was below par.
